Pro Chord is operated by MUNG and provides Myanmar song chords, lyrics, tabs, guitar tools, and related account features. This Privacy Policy explains how Pro Chord collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use the Pro Chord app on iOS or Android, the Pro Chord website, or related services.
You can browse songs, view chords, and use most core features without creating an account. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to mung@prochord.app.
The information collected depends on the Pro Chord features you choose to use:
Microphone and tuner: The mobile guitar tuner asks for microphone permission only when you use it. Audio is processed on your device to calculate pitch; Pro Chord does not record or upload tuner audio.
Pro Chord relies on service providers that process information for the purposes described above:
We share information with the service providers above only as needed to operate, secure, and improve Pro Chord. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or Pro Chord, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of the service. We do not sell personal information.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections, authenticated access, platform attestation, and database and storage access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Account, profile, favorite, and saved-song data are generally kept while your account is active. Private account-linked notification registrations are removed when you opt out, log out, or delete your account. Logging out does not disable the public mobile announcement preference; you can disable it in Pro Chord or device settings. Inactive account-linked tokens are periodically removed. After account deletion, song request and correction-suggestion content and status may be kept to preserve contribution and moderation history, document approved changes, identify duplicate submissions, and maintain catalog integrity. Account identifiers and stored author email fields are removed from those retained records as described in Section 7.
Information already present in provider-managed diagnostic or security logs and backups may remain until those records expire or the backups are overwritten under the applicable operational schedule. We may keep specific information longer only when required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
You can permanently delete your account from Pro Chord's account settings after completing the required identity verification. When deletion completes, Pro Chord removes your Firebase Authentication account, primary application profile and its favorite list, Pro Chord-hosted profile photo, active device notification registrations, and active session. The mobile app also clears locally stored account-scoped favorites on that device. When the deleted account used Sign in with Apple, the iOS deletion flow also revokes the Apple authorization token.
When deletion completes, Pro Chord also anonymizes song requests and correction suggestions created by the deleted account. We replace the author's account identifier with a generic deleted-account marker and remove the stored author email field where it exists. Other direct account references in retained contribution records are removed or anonymized.
Individual song-request vote records belonging to the deleted account are deleted, and the corresponding request vote totals are reduced. The remaining request or suggestion content, status, and timestamps may be retained for the purposes described in Section 6. If free-form content you submitted contains personal information that you want removed, email mung@prochord.app. The limited log, backup, and legal retention exceptions in Section 6 still apply.
You may use the core browsing features without signing in. You can decline microphone or photo-library access in your device settings, although the related tuner or photo-selection feature will not work. You can also decline or disable notifications; the rest of Pro Chord remains available. If you use Sign in with Apple, you can choose Hide My Email.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, portability, restriction, objection, or deletion of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing. To make a privacy request, contact mung@prochord.app. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Pro Chord is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.
We may update this policy when our services, legal obligations, or data practices change. We will update the “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or on the website.
